Makers eye Rs 50 crore for ‘2.0’ Telugu rights!
The sequel to ‘Robot’ of Rajanikanth, which is coming in the combination of Rajanikanth and sensational and ace director Shankar, “2.0” with a whopping budget of Rs 350 crore and extraordinary graphics had completed the shooting of the talkie part recently, after a 15 day non-stop crucial schedule in Chennai. However, the director had revealed that the canning of a song and some patch work remained balance to complete the shooting process and to break the pumpkin marking the closure of shooting.
Though the shooting is almost complete the director says, that the film can’t be released in the near future and they are planning to release the film as a Diwali gift, in the second half of the year. It may be mentioned here that the director is yet to look after the graphics work and the editing part in an extensive post-production phase. Following the success of ‘Robot’, there was a very high demand for the Telugu version of the film. With the heavy production cost for the movie, the film makers are trying to allocate the Telugu rights at Rs 50 crore or so. The Tamil version is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
