A P Assembly decision on Roja's suspension likely on March 7

Hyderabad, March.5: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative  Assembly will take a decision on the issue ofsuspension of YSRCP MLA RK Roja on March 7. According toAssembly sources, there was a chance that the Speaker would allow Roja toattend the Governor’s address in the budget session  for the year2017-18. The clarity will come on March 7 on whether toallow Roja to budget session or not.

        It may be recalled that theruling party lodged a complaint with the Privileges Committee alleging thatRoja made objectionable remarks against the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naiduand TDP MLA Anitha. The Assembly Privileges Committee headed by GollapalliSuryarao took a decision suspending Roja for one year . The duration of thesuspension has ended in December 2016. The Committee also recommended for onemore year suspension responding on the complaint lodged by MLA Anitha. On thisissue, Roja addressed a letter to the Speaker that she will attend the Houseand tender an  apology to Anitha. It islearnt that the suspension on Roja will be lifted in case she  tendered apology to Anitha onTuesday.
