Naidu announces boundaries of proposed AP capital

Hyderabad, Nov 8: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Saturday announced the boundaries of the proposed state capital. The new capital is expected to come up East of Autonagar in Guntur from Prakasam Barage, which is 10.5 k away. Towards the West, the capital is expected to extend from Borupalem to Prakasam Barage. And in South, the capital is expected to stretch from Autonagar ‘Y’ junction for 16 km alongside the 75 km long Ring Road. Chandrababu also said the state government will address all the issues raised by the farmers, who would be losing their lands and added his government will ensure that they will receive the best deal. The chief minister called on the people to liberally donate money as well as work for the development of a world-class capital city in the state. He reiterated that the proposed capital city should be where there are people. There is no use of developing it where people don't live. Stating that his government could construct and give houses to homeless poor, and those who would be losing their lands, the CM announced a loan waiver of 1.5 Lakhs to the farmers losing lands as a one time settlement.
