Laxmikant Parsekar is new Goa CM
Panaji, Nov 8: Goa's Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar was chosen as the State’s next chief minister, announced BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy in Panaji Saturday. Parsekar was elected unanimously at the Goa BJP legislature party meeting, Rudy said. Rudy is one of the party’s two central observers. Outgoing chief minister Manohar Parrikar proposed the name of Parsekar and seconded by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza. Parrikar resigned earlier in the day on being invited to join the central cabinet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
