Command Control Centre in Civil Supplies Dept too

Hyderabad, Feb.13: Commissioner of Civil Supplies C.V. Anand, IPS, has said his Department was taking steps to plug loopholes in the PDS and strengthening the system to avoid diversion of PDS rice and other essential commodities by utilizing the latest technology available.

As part of the drive, with a view to prevent diversion of PDS rice, which was going on for decades, the Commissioner Civil Supplies has designed a Command Control Centre with the latest technology and sitting there one can watch each and every movement of vehicles utilized for transportation of PDS rice till the stocks reach the ration shops. He said except Commissionarates of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police, the Civil Supplies Department is the first one in establishing the Command Control Centre. With the establishment of Command Control Centre, the Civil Supplies Department crossed one more milestone.

            Installation of CC Cameras, GPS devices in all the Stage - I/II transport vehicles, biometric system at all FP Shops and all other operations are under the surveillance of Command Control System. 1337 GPS devices were installed to Stag - I/II transport vehicles and 46 GPS devices are fitted to Kerosene tankers. Already installed CC Cameras at all MLS Point godowns in Hyderabad district and they will be extended to all the MLS Points in the State. To watch operations of GPS & CCTV at a time at the Command Control Centre, installed Video Walls with 210inches width, 72 inches length at Head Quarters now and the same facility is being extended to all the Joint Collectors office. This is the biggest Video wall in the State.

            The Command Control Centre will be opened on Tuesday at 11.30 am by Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender. Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, IAS, Chairman of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited Peddi Sudharshan Reddy will be present
