Braving cold weather, TDP leader's daughter-in-law protests for justice
Tirupati, Nov 7: Braving cold weather, the estranged daughter-in-law of local Telugu Desam Party leader Govind Krishnaiah, Veena continued to protest for the second consecutive day on Friday against her husband Hari Krishna at Bhavani Nagar in Tirupati. Unmindful of the freezing weather, Veena, along with her baby and with the help of women's organisations, has been staging a sit in protest at her husband's house. Speaking to the media persons on the sidelines of her protest, Veena accused that her in-laws and husband began harassing her soon after they came to know that she was pregnant with a girl child. She said they had asked her to go for an abortion. However, she refused to do so and later she gave birth to a girl child, she claimed. She also claimed that her husband threw her out she came to husband's house with the baby girl.
