Did Chiru demand remuneration from his son?
It is well aware that Ram Charan had produced Mega Star’s prestigious 150th movie and comeback movie of Chiranjeevi, ‘Khaidi No.150’ on the banner of Konidela Productions. It may be worth mentioning that ‘Khaidi No.150’ was a big hit and earned over Rs 105 crore share and thereby Ram Charan had hit the bull’s eye in his first attempt.
As the film is being produced by Cherry and the lead artiste is his father, no one thought of the remuneration part as everyone thought that it is a family affair. So, till date no body dares to question as to how much remuneration he charged for his come back movie. However, after the film earning huge profits, then it was leaked that Chiranjeevi had charged Rs 33 crore for his character.
As there were several doubts on his come back movie, Chiru waited for the release of the movie and after confirming that the film started getting profits, he collected Rs 33 crore from the profits. After deducting the budget spent on the film, the film had reportedly earned Rs 50 crore profits. Even after paying remuneration to Chiranjeevi, Cherry garnered Rs 20 crore profit. After looking all this, Cherry had decided to produce the 151st film of Chiranjeevi too on his own.
