Two Engg. students among gang printing fake currencies

Hyderabad, Feb.9: The Special Operations Team (SOT) of the police busted a fake currency racket involving engineering college students on the outskirts of the city in Rajendranagar on Thursday.
According to the police the  four-member gang including two first year engineering college students belonging to Lords Engineering College were engaged in printing fake Rs.2000 currency notes. It was stated that the gang made use of the college canteen premises for their printing racket after college hours.

            On a tip off the police team raided the college canteen this morning and caught the gang red-handed while engaged in printing the fake currency notes. The police arrested the four accused persons and seized from their procession fake currency to the tune of Rs.32 lakhs all in two thousand denomination notes, besides a Xerox machine and other material used in printing the notes.

            All the four were handed over to the Rajendranagar Police, who registered a case and taken up further investigations.
