Kerala MP suffers heart attack in Parliament

New Delhi, Jan 31 : IUML leader E. Ahamed on Tuesday suffered a heart attack and collapsed in Parliament's Central Hall when President Pranab Mukherjee was addressing it.

The 78-year-old Ahamed, who was the Minister of State for External Affairs in the UPA government, was moved to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where doctors said he was under observation.

The Indian Union Muslim League leader has been a Lok Sabha member from Malappuram in Kerala since 1991.
