Lady realtor cheats by registering 36 plots for 80 persons
Vijayawada, Nov 6: An incident of a lady realtor cheating at least 80 customers came to light in Vijayawada. The realtor, identified as Kalidindi Sharada of Bhavanipuram near Vijayawada, established SriSai Nagar Gardens Venture at Kanchikacherla with 36 plots up for sale on a land measuring two and a half acres. She placed advertisements in newspapers and lured gullible people and is reported to have sold and registered 36 plots to 80 persons. When the land purchasers went to the local panchayat office to obtain an Encumbrance Certificate (EC), they got the shock of their life when they received just a blank paper. When one of the land purchasers identified as Srihari questioned her on this, she is reported to have told him to take back his Rs. 1 lakh. However, soon after that she filed a reverse case on him. Further reports revealed that of the total land put up for sale only 1 acre 25 cents belongs to Sharada. It is also reported that her husband Ravi Kumar and two others are also involved in the fraud.
