Baahubali 2 sold for a record amount in Tamilnadu
Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The conclusion" is one of the most awaited films all over India. The film's Tamilnadu rights sold for a whopping amount of Rs 47 crores. The movie rights were acquired by Sri Green.
It was a record amount for Non-Rajini movie in Tamilnadu. Rajinikanth's Kabali, Lingaa, and Endhiran stand in Top three position and Baahubali 2 in Top 4 in All-Time record pre-release business in Tamilnadu. As the first part "Baahubali: The Beginning" minted Rs 35.2 crores, the second part was sold for a hefty price considering the craze on the movie. Thus Baahubali 2 is creating a sensation even before the release with its pre-release business.
However, the total worldwide pre-release business including all the rights was estimated to touch Rs 400 crores easily. Finally, we need to wait and see how the movie performs at the box office amidst huge expectations from Trade circles and audience once after its release on April 28th.
Nonetheless, the post-production and VFX works are going on at a brisk pace and the film's first look teaser was expected to be out in February and trailer in March.
