3 TDP MPs vying for berth in central cabinet

Hyderabad, Nov 6: With the Narendra Modi government initiating the exercise to expand the central cabinet, three Telugu Desam Party members of parliament are vying for a berth in the ministry. The names of Nalla Malla Reddy, Sujana Chaudhary and CM Ramesh are doing the rounds in TDP circles in New Delhi, unconfirmed reports said. Reports said TDP is keen to stake claim for one more berth in the central ministry. It is said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is in New Delhi now, is expected to call on the prime minister this evening to discuss this issue. TDP, which is a key cnstituent of National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has only one ministerial berth in the central ministry at present. Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapatiraju is the lone representative of TDP in the Modi government. It is, therefore, said Telugu Desam is in talks with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to corner one more cabinet berth at the centre.
