TLF urges govt to solve their problems

Hyderabad, Jan.22 : Telangana Lecturers’ Forum (TLF) has demanded that the State government immediately solve the problems of lecturers working with private Intermediate, degree, PG and Engineering colleges.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, the TLF leaders P Murali Manohar and U Siddeshwar said they submitted a memorandum to Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya in this regard. They said the TLF played a key role in the Telangana movement but they were not availing health card and EPF facility. They also demanded the state government to make the private colleges to pay the salaries as per AICTE and UGC rules on par with the government lecturers along with other facilities.

They said Bandaru Dattatreya responded positively and assured that he will do justice by bringing the issue to the notice of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. They said they would submit a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari and later to the Chief Minister. They also clarified that the TLF was not affiliated to any political party.

The TLF said it removed forum president Kathi Venkataswamy from the post. They said Kathi Venkataswamy was still announcing that he was the president of the TLF and urged the private lecturers to be aware of this fact and not believe in Venkataswamy statements. TLF leaders Dr E Yadaiah, Pokala Nagaiah, A Vijaykumar, R Sudhakar and others participated in the press meet.
