Jio To Launch 4G VoLTE Feature Phones Starting@Rs.999!
Reliance Jio gearing up to make one more disruptive move in telecom sector. It is reported that Jio is planning to introduce feature phones with 4G VoLTE support.
The price band may stand between Rs.999-Rs.1500. These feature phones will be bundled with free voice calls & other services.
Apps like Live TV, video-on-demand, Jio Chat, JioMoney etc will be available along with front and back cameras.
Faizal Kawoosa, principal analyst at Cybermedia Research said "It would be a testing time for the smartphone market, which is expected to see flat growth in 2017."
"If VoLTE feature phones hit the market, then there won't be a driving energy pushing for the upgrage to smartphones; instead it would be an upgrade from the feature phones to VoLTE feature phones." he commented on Jio 4G VoLTE feature phones.
