Kamalanathan committee gets 3-month extension
Hyderabad, Jan.1: The Centre has extended the term of Kamalanathan Committee by three more months.
According to the information, the Centre released orders extending the term of the committee till March end. The committee was appointed for bifurcation and distribution of officials between the two Telugu States. The committee, which faced opposition from the employees of both the States has got extension as the process of bifurcation was not over.
It may be said that the Telangana State Employees Association honorary president and TRS legislator V Srinivas Goud had appealed to the State government not to extend the term of the Kamalanaathan Committee. Though almost all the departments have been bifurcated between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the offices and assets under 9th and10th schedule are yet to be finalized. At this juncture, the Centre gave three months extension to the committee.
