TMC MLA Vaishali Dalmiya Draws Flak For Talking On Phone During National Anthem

Howrah: TMC MLA and former BCCI President late Jagmohan Dalmiya's daughter Vaishali Dalmia caught on camera while speaking over the mobile while National Anthem was being played.

According to the ANI report, On Sunday MLA Vaishali attended a sporting event at Howrah, West Bengal was found busy in attending phone calls while other attendees were seen singing National Anthem loudly with hand on their heart.

Earlier former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah also faced huge backlash for speaking over the mobile during National Anthem.

Section 3 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act categorically says that any individual who disturbs any gathering or assembly engaged in singing of National Anthem shall be fined or sentenced to prison upto 3 years or both.

On 30 November Supreme Court of India gave a ruling that all cinema theatres should play National Anthem before screening the movie and everyone must stand. Till then lot of discussions and debates are going on across the nation.
