Take Brexit like vote on Note Ban : Uddhav Thackeray
NDA alliance partner and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has advised to take a Brexit style people's referendum on currency ban. He also suggested to make serious note on renowned economist and former PM Manmohan Singh's comments on the issue. Thackrey said "The way in which a referendum was sought in Great Britain before its withdrawal from the EU(European Union), a survey need to be done here." PM's official website says 93% of the 5,00,000 people who participated in the survey through PM Modi app have supported the demonetisation decision. Modi termed it as "historic participation" Former PM Dr.Manmohan Singh strongly disagree with the present proposed objective of demonetisation. He called its implementation as a "monumental management failure". This renowned economist warned that nation's GDP would get decline by 2%. He also referred people's agony for cash and termed Govt action as "organised loot and legalised plunder". Earlier this week, Shiv Sena Party assured PM that their party would back the move in Parliament. They also referred the decision as "bold and historic move."
