KCR violated Statute by dividing districts, mandals: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, Nov.7: TDP Telangana working president A Revanth Reddy today alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has violated the Constitution by dividing districts and mandals unscientifically for political mileage. He sent a letter to the President complaining that the TRS adopted unscientific methods in the creation of new districts to 31 from 10, he said. Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR has created new districts and mandals as per his political plan before completion of delimitation process. The TDP State working president urged the President to ensure that delimitation should be carried on the basis of existing districts and mandals as per A P Bifurcation Act of 2004. The Chief Minister has divided mandals and created new districts to meet his political desires, he alleged. He urged the President to arrange for delimitation and reservation of Assembly constituencies in the State of Telangana on the basis of administrative units as were existing on the appointed day. Any deviation will cause great injustice to the cannons of natural justice and entail litigation and resentment among people, he said.
