Dasari Narayana Rao angry on Media and say Baahubali doesn't need publicity
Senior director Dasari Narayana Rao is known for his striking remarks on Industry. He was invited for the audio launch of Aame Athadaithe where he revealed some interesting things on struggles of small films. He said " These days Media are not giving attention to small films. They are running over films which don't need publicity. For a small film, it was costing double the investment for promotions and to release them which becoming a huge burden for small films producers. Even no one buying Satellite Rights of a small movie. So Media need to give attention to these films but the attention to Rajamouli's Baahubali is not required. Even Rajamouli didn't spend a single rupee for publicity despite being the Big budget entertainer. That kind of big films doesn't need any publicity, so if Media can help small films which are struggling with their budget for publicity then it will be the good thing". Thus Dasari Narayana Rao expressed his opinion on small films needs attention from Media. However, he was really true and as part of business, Media focus on Big projects only as audience show interest in them. At the same time, there are times small films like Pellichoopulu, Bichagadu stood as winners at the box office and once after their success, several media promoted them. Finally, it was true that for a small film, if it receives good talk and was steady for first one week, then only it gets attention from Media or else the makers need to create good buzz with film's promos in order to grab attention before release. That is how everything works.
