Farmer Narasiah commits suicide fearing land loss under Mallannasagar

A farmer, who was reported to have lost his land under the Mallannasagar project, committed suicide in his house on Wednesday. The deceased identified as Narsaiah was seen hanging in his house by his family members. He was immediately taken to a private hospital at Gajwel and from there he was shifted to the Gandhi hospital in Secunderabad. However, he breathed his last on Thursday morning. It is learnt that Narsaiah took the extreme step fearing that he would lose his land under the reservoir and expressed his concern a number of times, the family members said. Local BJP leader Raghunandan Rao consoled the deceased family members.
