Panel asks public views on rooftop solar PV Grid

The Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission on Thursday sought public opinion by August 8 to make some changes to the draft of Net Metering Rooftop Solar PV Grid Interactive System Regulation 2016. The draft will be finalized to supply power to domestic, industries and commercial needs using net metering rooftop solar PV Grid interactive system. The Commission will prepare a final draft after receiving comments and suggestions. In a press release in Hyderabad, the Commission Secretary stated that the stakeholders and the general public give their comments and make suggestions on the rooftop solar PV Grid Interactive System. With a view to encouraging and promoting Grid interactive rooftop solar PV systems, the commission made available the details on the website: www.tserc.gov.in for information of the general public. The commission aims at improving the functionality of the power sector with a focus on protecting consumer needs with transparency. Solar Rooftop Solar panels set up on the houses, industries, commercial establishments or any other places will produce power and transfer the same to the grid connected after the use and likely to fetch some income besides consumption.
