Smart pulse survey in AP from Friday for 22 days

The Andhra Pradesh government is conducting ‘Smart Pulse Survey’ campaign for collecting socio-economic data from July 8. This programme would continue for a period of 22 days. In a teleconference held with the district collectors on Wednesday evening, the Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements and ordered the officials to guide and keep monitoring the enumerators so that data from each and every household is collected. ` “The details of each household will help the government to take up many more developmental programs and ensure that the benefits reach the right beneficiaries,” he said. It is the responsibility of the officials to remove misconceptions regarding the smart pulse survey. Stressing that this survey would be a milestone in the history of AP, the Chief Minister said that officials should lay down a clear roadmap for its successful completion. “The officials should make note of the number of houses present in a location, the number of enumerators to be involved and the time needed for the completion of the survey,” he said. Right from Aadhar number to mobile number, each and every detail pertaining to a household will be collected. The government has provided tabs to enumerators who are taking part in this survey. The survey would help solve many problems on a real-time basis and the officials should make sure there was no shortage of devices and enumerators, the Chief Minister said and advised all the government departments to take part in this survey and coordinate with the officials at all levels. The entire survey must be completed online except in areas without 2G or 3G services. In such places, an offline survey can be permitted, said the Chief Minister. Change of address in the Aadhar Card can be done during the survey, he said.
