Test with New Zealand starts cricket season for India
Kanpur's Green park Statdium will host the first Test between India and New Zealand from September 22. It would be the first Test beginning the 2016-17 cricket season. The year would also see visits by England, Australia and Bangladesh. After the Kanpur Test, the second Test would be held at the new test venue of Indore, rounding off the Third test in Kolkata's Eden Garden. The India-New Zeland test series will be followed by one-day internationals at Dharmasala, New Delhi, Mohali, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam, a BCCI press release says. India's home season includes 13 Tests, eight ODIs and three T20 matches in the year. New Zealand last visited India in 2012, when they lost the Test series 0-2, but won the T20 series.
