Musicologist Raja conferred with doctorate for research on film songs

A Hyderabad musicologist Raja, who has been doing research on film songs for decades, has been conferred with a doctorate by the Universal Global Peace Academy. At a function in Bangalore, Raja was honoured with the Doctorate. He had penned many reviews, essays, conducted experiments and wrote on film songs. Raja said on the occasion that he was overwhelmed by the award by the academy that had presence in 77 countries. Raja also runs a website on which he had posted notes on 40,000 film songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Bengali. Raja has been doing research on film songs for all these decades.
