Give special tag for TS: Etala to Centre
Hyderabad, June 15: Finance Minister, E Rajender today sought that the Centre should give special status to the youngest state of Telangana for speedy growth. Addressing a meeting of state finance ministers at Kolkata, he said that since the states are vying for implementing the welfare schemes spending huge amount of funds the Centre should give a major share in the taxes. Rajender also demanded the Centre to release immediately Rs 600 arrears of CST to Telangana. His demand for special status for Telangana assumes significance as the Centre is not ready to give the same for Andhra Pradesh state.
