NIA to chargesheet Azhar brothers in Pathankot attack
The Director-General of National Investigation Agency, Sharad Kumar, said on Wednesday that there was no direct evidence to implicate the government of Pakistan or government agencies in the Pathankot attack, but there was sufficient and stringent evidence against Maulana Masood Azhar and his brother Rauf Azhar. `We ill include those two in the chargesheet,' he added. There was no eveidence to show that any Pakistani government agency was helping Jaish-e-Mohammed or its aides, he added. The NIA had completed the India leg of the investigation and was awaiting the Pakistani government nod to allow the NIA team to visit Pakistan to complete the investigations, he added. He clarified that the chargesheet in the case would be filed regardless Pakistan allowed or did not allow the NIA team, he added. The Pakistani team had visited Pathankot. But the cloak-and-dagger Pakistan was yet to reciprocate its team's visit by NIA team's visit to Pakistan.
