AP ready for CBI probe into Tuni violence, says Home Minister

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Chinarajappa on Saturday said the State government would order a CBI inquiry into the Tuni incidents if Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham would accept it. The State CID had done a good job of investigation into the Tuni incidenta. But Leader of the Opposition Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy and Mudragada were levelling charges on the CID, he said. If Mudragada asked for it, the State government was ready to order a CBI inquiry. “Jagan is commenting on the Kapu community, though he did nothing for their welfare,'' Chinarajappa said. AP TDP president Kala Venkat Rao and Minister Narayana were also present when the Home Minister made the offer.
