13 arrested in Tuni violence, being interrogated at secret place
Seven more Tuni agitators were arrested in connection with Ratnachal Express burning on Tuesday, taking the total number of arrests in connection with the incident to 13. At the same time, the police, in order to defuse the rising tension in Amalapuram with Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham demonstrating at the police station there, hustled him into a van and took him to the CID office in Rajahmahendravaram. The police clarified that Mudragada was not arrested but only taken to Rajahmundry to keep him abreast of the evidence against the arrested persons. He was taken with due respect taken in a van.
