Make me accused 1 in Ratnachal-burning case, pleads Mudragada

Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham requested the police on Tuesday that he should be made the Accused 1 in the burning of Ratnachal Express on January 31. As the police speeded up the investigations into the train-burning, Mudragada staged dharna at Amalapuram in East Godavari district, where six of the Tuni agitators were held. Mudragada said he was the whole and sole leader of the community, so he should be made accused 1. He said he would not tolerate if any Kapu leader was arrested. In case the arrests ought to be made, he should be the Accused 1. The police told him that they would inform the higher ups on Mudragada demand. Meanwhile, the Kapu supremo should not put blocks in their work. Along with Mudragada, a high number of Kapu leaders were demonstrating at Amalapuram police station, demanding the release of the arrested Kapu agitators. The police had difficulty in identifying the agitators because they were well prepared and indulged in violence by wearing masks.
