Harish Rao describes KCR 'a great engineer'

Hyderabad, May 27: “Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is a great engineer”, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said. The minister distributed appointment orders to 242 engineers in civil and mechanical wings under zone 5 and 6 here on Friday. The jobs include 112 in civil and 12 in mechanical under zone 5 and 106 civil and 12 assistants in mechanical under zone six. So far, the State government has taken an initiative to complete the exercise to fill 40,000 posts, Harish Rao stated. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said, “KCR is an engineer with complete information and understanding of all the projects. KCR has plans to redesign the projects to cater to future needs”, he said. The Chief Minister has envisioned to irrigate one crore acres of land in future by completing irrigation projects and lakes revival program under the flagship project of Mission Bhagiratha, he said. Accordingly, the State government has taken up redesigning of the projects to increase to great extent the farm activities, he added.
