Suspense prevails in TDP over RS candidates

Much suspense is prevailed over the candidates that will contest on behalf of Telugu Desam Party in the coming Rajya Sabha elections. The reports suggest that some senior leaders of the party have an eye on these posts. As per the present strength of the party in the state assembly, the party may get three seats and the opposition YSRCP will get one seat. For getting the fourth seat, TDP needs the support of another 15 MLAs which the party is feeling as a difficult thing. Irrespective of some allegations, Union Minister Sujana Chowdary may get another term in Rajya Sabha. If BJP requests TDP to give a chance for another Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the later may have to accept it without any second thought. If the grapevines are to be believed, the TDP is planning to give third seat to any Madiga SC leader and the probables from this quota are JR Pushparaj, Beeda Mastan and others. However, the party leadership may finalise the list only after Mahanadu on May 30.
