What's the use of TDP govt being there, asks KVP Ramachandra Rao

Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao on Monday came down heavily on the TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu, asking what was the use of such a government when it was not opposing the projects taken up by the Telangana government across the Krishna river. It was totally useless for the Andhras, he said. If the situation continued on the Krishna river front, there would be a situation when the entire AP would not be able to do any farming and the people would starve. The Congress leaders led by PCC president M. Raghuveera Reddy were staging dharna at the Krishna barrage in Vijayawada in the name of `Jalayuddham' (water war). Former Union Minister Killi Kruparani, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy and Devineni Nehru and others participated in the `water war' programme. They said the TDP government was totally neglecting the Krishna river projects taken up by the Telangana government. The government was acting as if it was not affected. While the people are afraid that the entire AP would turn a desert. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was afraid the KCR government in Telangana would reopen the cases against him such as note-for-vote. The Congress leaders claimed that their Ten Million Signatures campaign was yielding results and that the people would go to the project sites in Telangana to register their protest. Ten million people were ready to go to the project sites in Telangana. As regards the Special Category Status, they alleged there was a compromise between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chandrababu Naidu in this regard.
