Two groups clash for dropping Amity girl home

In an incident that reminds one of the Bollywood film, Ek Phool Do Mali, two youths and their two groups clashed over the right to drop a girl at her home from the Amity College located in the Banajara Hills on Wednesday. Anurag of Tarnaka is a BBA student of Amity college on Road No 11 Banjara Hills. He would see one of the girls in the college being taken on mobike by one Mansur Ali Khan, of Masab Tank, every day. Anurag did not like the arrangement in the belief that one of the college students should do the honour. One day Anurag told as much to Mansur Ali. As the small talk turned serious, Anurag and his friends thrashed Mansur Ali. The motorcyclist got a gang of 20 to attack Anurag. Anurag batch-mates got together and the groups clashed. Both the groups fought all the way up to Road No 8. Somebody rang up the police about the running battles on the roads, and the police intervened. They took the gang members and students into custody. The police are investigating.
