AP sleeping while TS is taking water away: YCP leaders
As YCP Jaganmohan Reddy's `Jaladeeksha' fast entered the third day on Wednesday, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu came under fire from the speakers at the venue in Kurnool. Thousands and thousands of people are pouring in from all over the State and beyond to express solidarity with the fasting leader. Ambati Rambabu, YCP leader, pointed out that the Chief Minister was sleeping while the neighbouring Telangana had designed, called for tenders and also started work on the projects on the Krishna upstream of Srisailam. Jagan was by his fast trying to draw the attention of both AP and Telangana and also the Centre to the projects that were bound to turn the Krishna delta into a desert. He alleged that both the Chief Minister and Telangana were hand in glove in this regard, as the Chief Minister was silent on the presssing issue for AP. Likeminded media were saying that the Chief Minister had in his recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked about drought. Later they would meet again to discuss the water projects by Telangana and Special Category Status for AP. Right now, he was silent because of the feared fall-out from the vote-for-note case. Ambati said he was from Guntur, which constituted the AP capital region. There 33000 acres were acquired for capital building. Another 1 lakh acres have been added. All the while, Chandrababu, who had toured Signapore, China, Japan and Malaysia, was saying the foreigners were coming to build Amaravati capital. Models were also displayed. Now, where is the Singapore man, Japanese man or the China man to build Amaravati? After all the bluff, at present a temporary capital is being built in Amaravati by India's L&T company. Earlier, YCP leader Gopalakrishna also spoke on similar lines.
