3 sailors hurt as cylinder bursts on INS Nirikshak
Three sailors of the Indian Navy were seriously injured, and one's leg had to be amputated, when the oxygen cylinder aboard supply ship, INS Nirikshak, burst on Tuesday night while the ship was nearing the port of Vizhinjam off Kerala. INS Nirikshak makes supplies to patrol ships of the Indian Navy. The leg of the Captain of the ship had to be amputated. Two other sailors were also hurt in the mishap. The Navy authorities have ordered in inquiry into the mishap.
