Roja moves SC, says no call from privileges panel

R.K. Roja, YCP leader, on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court once again in connection with her suspension by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for 1 year. Roja, who was to move the Supreme court immediately after the Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Dileep Bhosale setting aside the single-judge order, had delayed her second appeal to the Supreme Court. Roja's earlier appeal was in the reverse. She went straight to the Supreme Court. She was told to appeal to the High Court. Now, she had adopted the regualr approach of the AP High Court, single bench and then the division bench. After that she moved the Supreme Court again. In her appeal challenging the order of the division bench, Roja argued that the Privileges Committee of the AP Assembly had not called her to appear before it. This was deplorable. She further said that since she was fighting on women's issues, she was suspended from the Assembly for 1 year.
