DMK offered Vijayakant Rs 500 Cr, 80 seats: Vaigo

Vaigo, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader, on Saturday started a no-holds-barred fight in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections by declaring that the DMk headed by former Cheif Minister M. Karunanidhi, had offered Rs 500 crore and 80 seats to Capt Vijaykant. Vijayakant had acted as Captian in films and retains the title even out of films. Vijayakant is leader of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam and is much sought after as a brace against the ruling All-India Anna DMK of Jayalalithaa. Not only the DMK, even the BJP-led NDA had offered Vijayakant a Rajya Sabha seat and ministry in the Central cabinet. Vaigo, short for V. Gopalasamy, who had bagged the much sought-after Capt Vijayakant in his alliance, is going gaga over his prized possession in the high stakes of TN elections. He broke away from the DMK. Tamil Nadu elections are marked by one-time gifts for the poor. They are given gifts such as colour TVs, laptops and what not one time. After the elections the poor of Tamil Nadu continue to reamin poor. The leaders of course wallow in their riches and corruption all the time.
