After IndiGo, Air India receives bomb threat

An anonymous caller has threatened to blow up two Air India flights. The dialler called the Air India office in Mumbai on Thursday evening, it is stated. The caller threatened to blow up two Air India flights -- AI 945 Chennai-Hyderabad and AI 143 Chennai-Delhi. The airline said the call was declared non-specific by its bomb threat assessment committee. But it wanted all the laid-down procedures to be followed. IndiGo had similarly received a threat a couple of days ago. However, India is already on an alert following the twin blasts in Brussels whch had taken a heavy toll. So far the bomb threats have been hoax calls, taking advantage of the Brussels airport bombing. The security agencies need to trace the callers and find out the nature of the bomb threats.
