Cong got more time on budget in TS House, says KCR

Even as the Opposition Congress was trying to catch the ear of the Speaker, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had to intervene in the State Assembly on Saturday to say that it was the former ruling party that had used the maximum time. The House was discussing the budget proposals made by Finance Minister Eatela Rajender. All the parties had their say in the budget matters. The House was divided on party lines. While the ruling TRS members went on praising the poroposals, the opposition flayed them saying these would push the State into a debt trap. In fact, Question Hour was scrapped for the day to enable budget discussions. The Congress wanted to get more time. At this, the Chief Minister had to intervene. Chandrasekhar Rao said the Congress members had already clocked 2 hours 53 minutes of speeches. On the other hand, the ruling party had only had 1 hour and 26 minutes. How could they demand some more? The House has had elaborate discussion. The Assembly was working Saturdays and Sundays also.
