Man tries to sell his family, lands in jail

A man who put up his wife and three-year-old daughter for sale on the Facebook is cooling his heels behind the bars. Dilip of Shubhamnagar in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh tried to sell his family off with a price tag of Rs 1 lakh. He received many inquiries. But one netizen was smart enough to report the illegal sale to the police. The police intervened in the matter and took Dilip into custody. They also made him withdraw the sale from Facebook. Facebook, for all its Free Basics, should not entertain such weird attempts in its social medium. Social media too have social responsibility, especially when they are making billions.
