Make the defector MLAs to resign, YCP tells TDP
Even before their leader, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, returned from New Delhi on Wednesday, the YCP leaders met in the morning in Vijayawada at an extraordinary meeting and demanded the TDP to make the five defecting MLAs to resign from the assembly. If the ruling TDP and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had any sense of purpose they should make the five YCP MLAs and the MLC, who defected to the ruling party, to resign and contest for fresh elections. They regretted that the Chief Minister was talking in one way on the happenings in Telangana, where it was losing MLAs, and in another way in Andhra, where it was forcing the YCP MLAs to join it. The YCP leaders who took part in the Vijayawada meeting included Vijayasai Reddy, Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, Kodali Nani, Parthasarathy and Vangaveeti Radhakrishna. Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy reached Pulivendula from New Delhi in the afternoon and was to start a review of the situation caused by the defections with the party leaders.
