YCP hopes to get its defectors re-elected
YS Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, has said he will not adopt the devious methods resorted to by Chandrababu Naidu to encourage defections from other parties. Chandrababu was responsible for pulling away two MPs, SPY Reddy and Kottapalli Geeta, in the past. Chandrababu had used such methods throughout his political career. He had backstabbed his father-in-law, NT Rama Rao, to come to power. Jagan would never resort to such methods. Continuing his raid, Chandrababu had taken four more of his YCP MLAs by creating fear among them about police cases. Making an inrteresting point, Jagan observed that if the MLAs had any loyalty to the YCP, he would urge them to vote against the government in a no-confidence motion. After getting them disqualified, the YCP would appeal to the people to re-elect them. This reposing faith in their loyalty was the essential difference between him and Chandrababu Naidu, he added.
