Guntur girl traced to ashram in Uttarakhand

An IIT-Madras student belonging to Broadipet in Guntur, Vedantam L Pratyusha, has been traced and brought back. She wrote to her parents on January 17 that she was going to the Himalayas and disappeared. Her father had complained to the Chennai police that Pratyusha was missing. This led to a frantic search by the Chennai and Uttarakhand police. On the basis of her call data, she was traced. On the day she disappeared Pratyusha had talked to one Bhaskar five times. Bhaskar was the agent of a godman Shivgupta. Bhaskar had promised the girl that she would get instant moksha if she were to meet his Guru. He took her to the ashram in Uttarakhand. The police found Pratyusha in the ashram and brought her back to Broadipet. The father had since withdrawn his complaint. The father revealed that there were many girls and women in the godman's ashram in Uttarakhand.
