Heaps of currency won't buy my loyalty, YCP MLA

`Even if you heap me in wads of currency notes from head to toe, i wouldn't be joining the ruling Telugu Desam Party,' Nuzvid YCP MLA Pratap Apparao told newsmen on Thursday. Apparao was reacting to newsmen's queries that there was talk in the air that he would be joining the ruling party soon. He described the talk as motivated campiagn by interested parties. The YCP leader added that the TDP was already sunk in Telangana, where systematically the party MLAs were joining the ruling TRS. He described the TDP as sinking in Andhra Pradesh also. Therefore, there was no question of his joining a sinking ship. He would reamin with the YCP till the end. Aping their Telangana counterpart, the TDP is trying to lure the opposition YCP in Andhra. Another YCP MLA, Jaleel Khan, had met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday morning, but he later clarified that he had no intention of joining the TDP. The TRS, however, is stated to be pleading, browbeating and implicating TDP MLAs in Hyderabad into joining the ruling party. TDP working president in the region Revant Reddy had alleged that the TRS was forcing his party's MLAs into joining the rulng party. Even the party's chief spokesman in Telangana, Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao, had ditched the TDP and joined the TRS at the behest of Minister T. Harish Rao. Dayakar of course is a natural choice of the TRS because of their caste affinity.
