TRS money bags caught twice in 2 days
The ruling TRS party in Telangana was caught twice in 2 days distributing money for influencing voters going to polling booths in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Elections on Tuesday. Five TRS leaders were caught by the local people while distributing money at Krishnanagar in Yousufguda on Monday. They reported the matter to the Jubilee Hills police station. The police responded immediately and took the five TRS leaders into custody. On Sunday, some TRS leaders were caught influencing the people with money at Rajendranagar. The Congress leaders there reported the matter to the police. There are high stakes in the current GHMC poll. Each vote is attracting a premium of Rs.2000. Various party leaders are allegedly receiving Rs.2 lakh each for influencing bulk votes. Some parties are stated to have insisted on a fund of Rs.50 lakh for contesting the poll in the first place.
