Kapus would do anything for me, says Mudragada

Claiming that the Kapus were with him, the community supremo, Mudragada Padmanabham on Monday made it clear that the Kapus did not resort to violence at Tuni on Sunday. The Kapus were with him totally, and one word from him `yes' to violence would have resulted in violence. But he did not call for violence. So there was no question of Kapus as being behind the violence of Sunday. Mudragada however did not say who perpetrated the violence on Sunday. The Kapu leader said he simply called for `rail roko' and `rasta roko'. But neither he nor the Kapus had anything to do with the subsequent violence. Mudragada said he was not the kind of person who would indulge in violence. However, he was prepared to do anything for the Kapus. Also he was not acting on behalf of any person or party. On the contrary, he alleged that the TDP had conspired to thwart the Kapu meet. That is why the police did not give permission for the meet. He suggested that it was he ruling TDP that had sent goondas to create violence in Tuni. Many leaders were suggesting that he had been sold out for a huge amount of money. Therefore, he would like to make it clear that he was not one to be sold out. At the same time, Mudragada demanded reservations for the Kapus.
