Jayasudha to quit Congress, join TDP
Famous film actress Jayasudha, former Secunderabad MLA, having entered politics knows the game by now. Realising that the Congress party may not do well in the coming GHMC elections, she has decided to cross over to the Telugu Desam Party instead. In any case, Jayasudha would come under the category called `settlers' by the ruling TRS. Now that she had been an MLA for one term, Jayasudha can be fielded from either AP or Telangana. Only the TDP can enable her to do so, and also ensure her success. In this connection, the star of Tollywood is expected to meet AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada later on Saturday evening. Jayasudha had defeated Srinivas Yadav of TDP in Secunderabad. As a result, he had shifted to Sanatnagar from where he had won the election in the last election. The further shift of Srinivas to the TRS hangs the fate of Sanatnagar. Although he is the incumbent, the opposition led by the TDP and the Congress are vociferously demanding a byelection in Sanatnagar, which the ruling TRS is assiduously avoiding. In the circumstances, it is very likely that Jayasudha had opted to get active by joining the TDP.
