Laxmi Parvati lashes out at commerce in NTR's name

Laxmi Parvati, former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao's widow, has alleged that some people were living off the name of NTR. Talking to newsmen in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Laxmi Parvati said in the name of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao Trust, some people were going abroad and collecting funds. These collections were going on for years without check. She said it was for the trustees to tell the people about the usage of the funds already collected. In the name of NTR Award, these people were simply giving a memento and a shawl each and denying the awardees a cash prize. Right now the trustees have taken up a blood donation drive. She would like to know what the trustees proposed to do with the blood that they collected during the camp. Laxmi Parvati alleged that these trustees were doing so for their own livelihood. Instead she wanted them to do something useful for society on their own instead of using NTR's name. She also wanted to know what was being done in the name of NTR Trust? The trustees need to tell the people what they were doing.
