Jaitley, Kejriwal to share business summit
If they were to meet on a business platform, would Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal do business or end up in mutual recriminations over the DDCA cricket files? Whatever the outcome, it would be known in hardly 20 hours when both the leaders would be taking part in the Business Summit scheduled in Kolkata on January 8 & 9. They would be joined by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who is a votary of the Goods and Services Tax Bill. Naturally they would be talking about the relevant matters and not bother about satta cricket. Kejriwal is of the firm view that it was under the presidentship of Jaitley that there were glaring financial irregularities in the DDCA. His AAP party was to launch an all-India campaign against the alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association. But nothing much has come off it. There is no sign of the campaign, exposing chinks in their political armour. Jaitley has filed a defamation suit claiming Rs.10 crore in damages against AAP leaders. Constitutional expert Ram Jethmalani, who is opposed to Jaitley in the BJP and also in courts, has taken up the brief on behalf of the AAP leaders.
