Rs. 30 lakh stolen from car in Tirupati

The old trick of attention diversion was used to steal Rs.30 lakh stored in a car in Tirupati on Wednesday morning. Mohan, of the Sarangi hotel in Tirumala, went to Sridevi complex in Tirupati for shopping. Assistant Bhanu Prakash was with him. Mohan told Bhanu to stay in the car and went into the complex for shopping. Seeing this as an opportunity, the con man went up to Bhanu and told him there was a kerchief on the ground near the car in which there was some money. Bhanu may have thought it belonged to Mohan and went to fetch the kerchief. As he was looking around for the kerchief, the case containing Rs.30 lakh was stolen. A complaint in this regard has been registered with the police.
